Hi there, welcome. My name is Jane Kitson, thanks for visiting my site and thinking about choosing Hypnotherapy as a way to get the most out of your life.

I really enjoy what I do and that’s helping people using this research backed therapy.

It uses elements of Neuroscience, NLP, CBT and brief therapy. Sometimes we can just be feeling at a low ebb and unsure how we can get back on track with life. We can feel a bit lost. Or we might be so busy we find we’re feeling very stressed all the time and don’t want to feel like that anymore. Or we may be very sure of what we need help with, like a relationship breakdown or coping with chronic pain or wanting to be able to overcome a fear. Maybe you’ve got IBS and have had Hypnotherapy recommended. (These are just a few of the reasons people seek support).

Solution Focused Hypnotherapy is about, you got it… finding solutions, so if you want to work in a safe, supportive and caring environment then you’ve come to the right place. Please get in touch and let’s take that first, small step, towards you feeling better or achieving a realistic goal/s.

Sounds too good to be true? Well I might have said the same going back in time, before I myself had Hypnotherapy. To be honest as a last resort, having ‘done the work’ with other helpful resources but finding I was still struggling at times with anxiety. I found it to be like the missing piece of the jigsaw puzzle, if you like. Why I was how I was and how I could work with my brain to cope better and even, ultimately, thrive.

I was worried when I went to Hypnotherapy for the first time what it involved, this was totally natural given it was something new. I needn’t have been. It’s a natural state we go in and out of many times a day, when we’re daydreaming, or even watching TV. You are always fully in control. You can choose to come out of it any time you want to. We know this from brain imaging taken when we’re in this state. It is carefully designed to be beneficial to your well-being.

If you’re still reading, you want to know a bit about me and why I am a Solution Focused Hypnotherapist. Which I totally understand because you want to know if I look and ‘sound’ like the right therapist for you.

My journey into Hypnotherapy began when a friend recommended it to me when I was ‘stressed out’ and anxious at times following a divorce and all that involved. I wasn’t too sure about it but she assured me she had found it very helpful. So I understand it takes a little leap of faith sometimes just to get ‘through the door’ or onto the online meeting. But I also know if you want to change, if you want things to get better and approach it with a reasonably open mind, you might be pleasantly surprised at the positive changes it can bring about.

After my own initial consultation I remember sitting in a cafe thinking and feeling like things would be OK for the first time in a long time. I felt a strong sense of relief and an element of calm and peace. Those feelings have stayed with me and have continued to grow and strengthen. I say this because whilst Hypnotherapy is usually a relatively short therapy for most people to feel the benefits, it equips you with knowledge and tools you can use for the rest of your life should you choose to do so.

To be honest this was not the only reason but the fact it was so effective for me, was one of my top reasons for deciding to retrain as a Hypnotherapist. I felt excited and motivated by the prospect of helping others and making a real difference through a new career. It was this thought that helped me step out of my comfort zone, at the time, and begin on my new career path and I haven’t looked back.

I trained with CPHT Leeds, it was an amazing journey. I felt privileged to train with the ‘gold standard’ of Hypnotherapy Schools.

I am fully insured. Have an enhanced DBS check. And adhere to codes of conduct with the AfSFH.
